The majority of people today are not able to relate to the bible in any real and meaningful way.
Most people only seem to relate to the bible, ether as an ancient rule book, that is out of date and filled with mystical stories! Therefore most people remain ignorant of how to understand and interpret the Scriptures!
(John 5:39-40) KJV
“39 You search and investigate and pore over the SCRIPTURES diligently, because you suppose and trust that you have eternal life through them. AND THESE [VERY SCRIPTURES] TESTIFY ABOUT ME!
40 And still you are not willing [but refuse] to come to Me, so that you might have life!”
Jesus made it clear that the main purposes and benefit of scripture, is to be a WITNESS! A witness which declares and reveals the true “The Word of God” to us, which happens to be Jesus Christ and the truth of His finished work!
Scripture is the means by which we connect to the true and “Living Word of God” (Jesus) and the power of God which is the Gospel!
