Stuff Happens… But Jesus is Enough!

Stuff-Happens

Stuff Happens…but Jesus is Enough People ask me all the time, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” And my response is always, “Stuff just happens—to good people and to bad people.” Now I could go into all the spiritual reasons why stuff happens, but there isn’t room in this post to do that. And honestly, it’s not that important.

What is important, is for you to understand what the Bible says about the “stuff happening.” The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:16-17 God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5b And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 Stuff does happen… but the Bible very clearly tells us that God is not the author of destruction. He does not and cannot cause grief or sorrow; that’s what Satan’s work produces. But even in the midst of our “stuff,” we can be confident that God will turn things around for our good if we continue to trust Him. Stuff does happen—but Jesus is more than enough!

  1. I have had that same question asked of me by many and you have answered it best etc….It is a good thing to say “Jesus is more than enough to handle our stuff” …
When I was reading the post I was reminded of the scripture where ” someone planted weeds or tares in the field” and the Master said to leave it be until the harvest…I see Jesus saying leave the tares until harvest because He is more than enough…..he can handled the tares in the fields….
I will remember this and share when I am asked the questions…etc.
